The publication is a fascinating study into the dialogue between technological advancements in transportation and communications and the tangible environment with which is inextricably linked. ![]() Science-fiction portrays an image of a technologically advanced world where the digital age is an ethereal presence in the psychology of human experience. But as techonology has progressed, it is evident that our relationship with physical space transcends the digital world. This publication reveals the moments in the physical environment that technology has generated. "Outmoded infrastructure, glitch space, and public zones populated with tethered cables" Adaptation argues, are evidence that we are not divorced from geography by entering a digital age. And contrary to intuition, Adaption concludes that even as the built environment adapts to technological advancements, the overlap between the physical and the digital require technology to adapt as well. ![]() Featured interviews are with Greg Lindsay, Michael Keane, McKenzie Wark, Boston New Urban Mechanics, Seth Pinsky, Jay Nath, and Matthew Chalmers Art by Lucie & Simon, Jon Rafman, Naho Kubota Contributions by Bejamin Bratton and Nicolas Nova.
